Billing Manager

As an Invoicing-Billing Manager you are to ensure a timely and correct invoicing of all services delivered by the company. You have strong administrative and analytical skills, a hands-on attitude and will apply excellent communication and organizational skills in relation to the billing and revenue recognition process. You are fluent in English and Microsoft Office applications. You will lead the Billing team based in Ghent.

Your responsibilities include:

• Oversee clinical trial billing process, coordinating with other departments and ensuring timely invoicing and financial setup.
•  Generate and analyze monthly reports, including revenue and KPI metrics, for the head of billing.
• Maintain documentation, train staff, and implement enhancements to billing systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and project managers, to ensure accuracy and compliance in billing processes. You will be working with Controlling, Head of Billing-Head of accounting-external- or internal audit for audit inspection. Work with Proposals & contracts team – when required review initial budgets & MSA’s and update MSA/Contracting overview sheet
• Utilize effective people management skills to lead and support the billing team in their responsibilities.

These responsibilities and activities collectively contribute to the efficient functioning of Cerba Research financial operations, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial processes.

About you, you have:

• The ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Pivotables (macros is a plus)
• PowerBI knowledge would be an asset
• Good organizational skills with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• People management skills or potential; you will be a role model for the team
• Understanding of cash flow and revenue recognition
• Confidence to deal with all internal / external Customer at all levels
