Job description

As a Credit Controller at Cerba Research, you play a crucial role in our Financial team. Your primary objective is to effectively manage the credit and collections process, ensuring timely payment from our esteemed global clients.

Why Join as Credit Controller?

In this role you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, contributing directly to the organization's success and growth. By optimizing cash flow, reducing credit risks, and enhancing client relationships, you'll make a tangible impact on the company's bottom line. We offer a collaborative and agile work environment, where your problem-solving skills and critical thinking will be valued. If you're seeking a role that combines financial expertise, communication, and relationship management, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Your Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Reduce Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging: Your expertise will be critical in promptly collecting outstanding invoices and reducing the number of overdue payments. You'll strive to decrease the average number of days in AR aging, ensuring a healthier financial position for the company.
  • Cash Flow Management: By closely monitoring and forecasting incoming payments, you'll optimize our cash flow. Your efforts will contribute to reducing past-due invoices and minimizing the cash collection cycle time, ensuring a steady and efficient cash flow.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Your skills in assessing the creditworthiness of clients will be instrumental in conducting credit checks and analyzing financial information. Implementing a standardized credit risk assessment process will significantly reduce instances of bad debt or delinquent payments.
  • Credit Control Policies: You will be entrusted with developing and enforcing credit control policies and procedures to minimize credit risk exposure. Your expertise will lead to the establishment or revision of credit control policies, aligned with industry best practices and our company guidelines.
  • Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, sales teams, and other stakeholders will be a key aspect of your role. By fostering prompt payments and resolving billing disputes or discrepancies, you'll contribute to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Your analytical abilities will be showcased as you prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, credit risk, and collections performance. By identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management, you'll contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Your passion for efficiency will drive you to continuously evaluate and improve credit control processes, systems, and workflows. Implementation of automation tools and streamlined processes will enhance accuracy and timeliness, reducing manual work and errors.

Job requirements

To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of skills, experiences, and characteristics:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, demonstrating your solid foundation in financial knowledge.
  • Relevant working experience in a similar role, preferably within an international context, in a multi-country, multi-systems environment. Your experience in handling diverse financial scenarios will be invaluable.
